Good Charlotte to make tour debut at Hovet in Stockholm on November 8
Today, the American, groundbreaking rock band Good Charlotte can reveal that they are returning to Sweden for the first time since 2010, with the Motel Du Cap EU + UK Tour. On November 8, the European tour will kick off in Sweden as the band's only stop in the Nordics, and we will finally hear hits like “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous” and “The Anthem” live again. Special Guests are Yellowcard.
After a series of sold-out arena shows in Australia and New Zealand, the multi-platinum selling rock band Good Charlotte will embark on the Motel Du Cap EU + UK Tour this fall, with a tour premiere in Stockholm on Sunday, November 8.
2026 has proven to be a successful year for Good Charlotte. In addition to today's tour news, the band has recently completed a major, sold-out tour in Australia and New Zealand, which marked the start of the Motel Du Cap World Tour. The album Motel Du Cap, released in August last year, is Good Charlotte's eighth studio album and their first album release in seven years. The album was written by twins Benji and Joel Madden together with Mattias Bylund, and produced by Zakk Cervini and Jordan Fish. In Motel Du Cap we hear the band return to their roots, while also marking a new musical chapter. The record is characterized by heavy guitar riffs, introspective lyrics and a rebellious spirit.
The album's lead single Rejects marked the band's step back into the spotlight, and was performed live on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. This was followed by the single Stepper. On the release day, Good Charlotte also performed I Don't Work Here Anymore live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Yellowcard will be joining the tour as special guests, as they have also been involved in shaping pop-punk history with hits such as “Ocean Avenue” and “Only One”. In January, they released the single “Bedroom Posters”, with a version featuring Good Charlotte. This fall we will see both bands live, for a concert at Hovet in Stockholm!
Tickets go on sale Friday, May 29 at 10:00.
