Amon Amarth to come to Hovet on October 24

The undisputed kings of Viking metal, Amon Amarth, are returning home to Sweden in 2026 with their massive new tour The Allfather Awakens Tour. On October 24 they will come to Hovet in Stockholm on October 24 for an evening loaded with fire, mythology and arena metal of the heaviest caliber.

Since their start in Tumba in 1992, Amon Amarth have built an unparalleled legacy and established themselves as one of the world's biggest and most influential metal bands. With their unique combination of melodic death metal, monumental choruses and stories drawn from Norse mythology, the band has grown from underground favorites to global festival headliners, acclaimed for their live shows and immortal metal anthems.

With classics like Once Sent From the Golden Hall, Twilight of the Thunder God and Jomsviking, Amon Amarth have created a generational soundtrack to battle and triumph. Their latest album, The Great Heathen Army, recorded with producer Andy Sneap, marked another powerful step forward: heavier, darker and more cinematic than ever, with songs like “Find a Way or Make One”, “Get in the Ring” and the title track quickly becoming live favorites.

In recent years, the band has solidified their position as one of the metal scene’s most dominant live acts, from headlining festivals across Europe to sharing the stage with Slayer on their latest US tour. After the pandemic’s hiatus, Amon Amarth returned in full force, ready to continue conquering the world with a sound that has only gotten bigger, rawer and more epic over time.

Hovet is located in Johanneshov in south of Stockholm. Within easy walking distance there are six metro stations including Gullmarsplan - Stockholm's second largest hub for public transport with trams and buses.

Practical information

It is not permitted to bring umbrellas, bottles, professional cameras, food, or drinks into the arena. No bags larger than 40x40x20 cm are allowed inside. All bags will be checked at the entrance.
