In Flames have always shown the middle finger to all who wants them to stop. Despite of that, or rather thanks to, the band is today one of the world's most influential and loved metal bands. With their latest single 'The Great Deceiver', they'll bring their prominent friends in At The Gates, Imminence and Orbit Culture to Hovet and Stockholm on 16 December!

It's difficult to overestimate In Flames meaning for the metal scene. First as innovators of melodic death metal during the 90s, as a strong influence during the 2000s emerging metalcore, and later on as one of the progressive, alternative metal scenes biggest and most innovative acts. And if there's anything that characterizes the guys from Gothenburg in In Flames since their start in 1990, it's their forward-looking view - a deep reluctance to repeat themselves which is rare in a genre cherished in unwritten rules. The first success came with the now iconic third album 'The Jester Race' from 1996, but that was with the style-forming 'Reroute To Remain' that the album found their sound they've refined since then. Just as on the latest, hungry album 'I, the Mask' from 2019. Earlier this year, the band returned with the crushing hard 'State Of Slow Decay' - the first single since the return to the enriched label Nuclear Blast.

On December 16, In Flames will, together with their friends, come to Hovet and on December 17 Scandinavium - and it's not just any friends. At The Gates is just like In Flames pinoeers within the Swedish death metal and crucial to the forming of what today is called "göteborgssoundet"(The Gothenburg-sound). After released classics such as 'Terminal Spirit Disease' in 1994 and the immortal 'Slaughter Of The Soul' in 1995, the band took a break in 1996 to make an unexpected return with 'At War with Reality' in 2014. Since then, the band have release two more album, the latest being 'The Nightmare of Being' from 2021 - according to many it's also their best and most successfull album since the comeback.

Imminence land somewhere between the merciless hard and alternative rock with their emotionally charged metal core. The fact that the singer and songwriter Eddie Berg is a classically trained violinist adds another dimension to the already multifaceted music. The band recently released their fourth studio album 'Heaven in Hiding' in 2021 and as well as critics and fans, they agreed: the album is the bands' best so far.

Orbit Culture rose from the ground in 2020 with the album 'Nija' that gave the band a wide recognition all over the world for their techincal, aggressive and melodic death metal. The band, which is located in a creative zenith, already in 2021 followed up the acclaimed album with a more immediate, live adapted EP 'Shaman'.

In Flames, At The Gates, Imminence and Orbit Culture are all, in their own way, in the forefrent for metal music. Getting to see them all in the same night is nothing short of a favour. Don't miss the concert on December 16 at Hovet!
